OUR CIRRICULUM

 

 

Social and Emotional Preparation:

 

-Learn to explore and try new things

-Begin to work well independently

-Opportunities to be with other children and learn to cooperate with others

-Curiosity and motivation to learn

-Follow simple instructions 

 

Language and General Knowledge:

 

-Encouraged to talk and listen in small groups as well as large group discussions

-Read to at least twice a day and has access to books and other reading materials

-Perform and/or watch puppet shows and use felt boards to tell stories 

-Encouraged to solve problems, sort and classify things

-Will learn to count to 100 and add small numbers

-Will learn to identify shapes, colors, and numbers

-We offer music, dance, and foreign language classes

 

Cognitive Development:

 

      Cognitive development refers to thinking skills such as learning, understanding, probem solving, reasoning, memorizing, and attending.

 

-Engage in fantasy play

-Can tell what will happen next

-Better understands the concept of time

-Sorts objects by property (color, shape) and categorize.
